Tech Pack Assistant Designer
Responsibilities:
• Assist Designers with fixing Sketches and ensuring sketches and scans match as tech packs are made.
• Set-up fabrication & reference pages in Illustrator for tech packs.
• Set-up & adjust styles – input adjustments & create new styles in PLM.
• Create and pass tech packs in Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Create & manage fabric and trim codes for costing & production tech packs (PLM)
• Pass all physical standards to production team with prints of necessary pages + scans.
• Photograph and scan garments + downloading to shared drive for tech packing.
• Maintain/organize Excel sheets with large quantities of styles & daily updates.
• Maintaining body books and assigning body numbers to the design team.
• Assist team to ensure overseas factories and vendors are up to date with changes/ corrections.
• Communicate with the sewing room / patternmaking team & pick up samples as needed
• Production Sample Requests
• Manage and organize sample closets
• Create value adds across brands as needed
• Compile market summary recaps
Qualifications/Experience:
• Product Development with an interest in technical design.
• Experience with the apparel design process
• Proficient in Excel and strong understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop
• Proficient knowledge of fabrication/construction of garments, with the ability to think three-dimensionally and visualize workable swatch to body concepts.
Compensation: $23.00 – $24.00 per hour
