GEORGE SOKOLOWSKI
Corporate Vice President Strategy and Chief Marketing Officer
George Sokolowski is corporate vice president strategy and chief marketing officer for Kellwood Company, a post he has held since joining the company in January 2008.
Prior to Kellwood, he was managing partner of SkyTop Advisors, a retail marketing advisory group that specializes in customer-centric communications strategies.
Before SkyTop, Mr. Sokolowski served in several senior marketing and business development roles with the TJX Companies from March 1996 to January 2007. During his tenure at TJX, he was promoted four times, and ascended to the position of executive vice president/chief marketing officer with overall responsibility for company-wide marketing efforts. Earlier, Mr. Sokolowski served as senior vice president – marketing and sales promotion for Marshalls, Inc. Over the years, he held various marketing and financial management positions with Footstar, Inc., E.A.S.E. Inc., Aris-Isotoner, Inc., International Playtex, Inc., Standard Brands, Inc., and Revlon International.
Mr. Sokolowski holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Long Island University, New York, and a BA in Political Science and English from Yeshiva University, New York. He has been active in community and charitable organizations including the Cardinal Cushing School, Joslin Diabetes Center, Save the Children, and the Domestic Violence Prevention Fund.
